Return and Refund Policy

We're confident that after experiencing the joys of barefoot freedom, your feet won't want to go back to "normal" shoes. If you have questions about fit, sizing, or a product concern, our team is always happy to help find a solution. However, if you change your mind for any reason within 30 days, you can return or exchange your footwear at the Toronto store per our policy conditions and processes below.

Returns, exchanges, and warranty claims under this policy apply only to purchases made directly from the Vivobarefoot Toronto retail store.

Purchases made through vivobarefoot.ca, vivobarefoot.com, or any other authorized retailer must be returned or serviced through the original retailer.

Vivobarefoot Toronto reserves the right to refuse any return or exchange that does not meet the conditions outlined in this policy.

Footwear Not Right?

Vivobarefoot Toronto will accept exchanges or product returns for a refund, provided that all of the following conditions are met:

  • Unworn and unused
  • In the original shoebox and includes original tags attached.
  • Within 30 days of purchase.
  • Proof of purchase is required for all returns, exchanges, and warranty claims.
  • Purchase was made at our store.
  • Shoes must not have scuffed or dirty soles. We recommend that when you first try on your new shoes at home, you wear socks and test them on carpet, just in case.
  • Promotional or discounted items may only be exchanged or returned for store credit
  • Clearance and permanently marked-down items are final sale

Return & Exchange Process

Bring your footwear back to our store with your original receipt. Please ensure:

  • Shoes are repackaged in their original shoebox, including any paper stuffing or wrapping from the original purchase.
  • The shoebox is in clean, presentable condition.
  • Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the requested size or style is unavailable, store credit or a refund may be offered in accordance with this policy.

Are all products returnable?

All footwear is returnable within 30 days of purchase, provided it meets our return conditions above.

For hygiene and health reasons, apparel, socks, insoles, toe spacers, foot health products, and accessories are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless defective.

What do I do if my shoes are faulty? Do you offer a guarantee on products?

We offer a 6-month manufacturing warranty for all of our footwear purchases in our Toronto store. However, we understand that issues may arise with faulty products beyond this period. In such cases, we review them on a case-by-case basis to ensure customer satisfaction.

Approved warranty claims may be resolved through repair, replacement, exchange for an item of similar value, or store credit, at Vivobarefoot Toronto’s discretion.

Our warranty policy is subject to the following limitations:

  • It is at the discretion of our trained Customer Service team to determine if shoes fall within our manufacturing warranty.
  • All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt directly from our Toronto store. Any warranty claims for shoes purchased from the Vivobarefoot Canada website or authorized resellers need to be initiated directly with vivobarefoot.ca.
  • Repaired or replaced products are covered by the remainder of the original warranty period.

Examples of what is not covered by the warranty:

  • Products acquired from aftermarket sources such as online auction sites, liquidators, consignment shops, private sellers, samples, or promotional products.
  • Improper fit. Fit is the responsibility of the owner and should be assured before wearing the product.
  • Comfort issues.
  • Frayed material, worn stitching, and worn soles due to normal wear.
  • Stitching or hardware failure due to tearing or other abnormal wearing accidents.
  • Modifications or alterations to the product.
  • Damage resulting from misuse, normal wear and tear, or damage incurred during storage or transportation.
  • Deterioration from water abuse.
  • Skateboard or bicycle abuse.
  • Cuts, scratches, burns, etc.
  • Shrinkage from overexposure to extreme heat.
  • Waterproof products: Maintaining the waterproof properties of your boots is essential to ensure they stay dry and comfortable. Like all waterproof products, maintenance is necessary. Although our waterproof styles feature a waterproofing membrane within the construction of the boot, the external waterproofing properties of the boots may gradually diminish. This is considered normal usage and is not covered under warranty.

Gift Receipt Policy

Items returned with a gift receipt are eligible for exchange or store credit only and must be within 30 days of purchase, provided they meet all return conditions outlined above.

  • Gift cards purchased from Vivobarefoot Toronto may only be redeemed at the Vivobarefoot Toronto retail store and cannot currently be redeemed on vivobarefoot.ca, vivobarefoot.com, or with other authorized retailers.
  • Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by applicable law.
  • Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.
  • Gift cards should be treated like cash. Lost, stolen, damaged, or unauthorized use of gift cards is not the responsibility of Vivobarefoot Toronto.
  • Any unused balance will remain on the gift card and may be applied toward future purchases.
  • Gift cards do not expire and are not subject to maintenance or inactivity fees.
  • Promotional gift cards, store credits, and goodwill certificates may be subject to additional terms and expiration dates, which will be communicated at the time of issuance.

Returns for purchases made with Interac will require the debit card to be present in store to refund back to the original card.
